Sylvan Smart Aluminium Sliding Door Lock SL36ESLIDE

The Sylvan Smart Sliding Door Lock SL36ESLIDE is an electronic smart lock kit designed for residential aluminium sliding doors with weather protection. It provides keyless access, practical security and convenient everyday operation for suitable sliding door applications.

This kit includes the SL36E black smart lock, 1 pair of short handles, a hook mortice lock, and an adjustable striker plate. It is available with 28mm or 35mm backset mortice lock options. Please note that the backset measurement does not include the forend of the lock and is measured under the faceplate.

The lock supports multiple access methods, including fingerprint, password, card/tag, Bluetooth/app access, and a hidden mechanical key override. It has a data capacity of up to 200 fingerprints, 150 passwords and 150 cards, making it suitable for family use or controlled residential access.

The SL36ESLIDE is IP55 rated on the outside face and is designed for protected exterior use. It is not suitable for doors without weather protection, because the inside of the lock is not waterproof. It is also not suitable for high sea salt or sulphur environments.

To lock this set, the handle must be lifted up to engage the hook bolts. This can be done from both sides of the door. The handle is reversible, and the overall short handle length is 50mm. The main lock body measures 300mm x 39mm x 22mm.

Battery Information:

Batteries are not included. Sylvan recommends AA Energizer Max or AA Energizer Max Plus alkaline batteries. Do not use lithium batteries or carbon zinc batteries, as these are not suitable for this electronic lock.

Installation Information:

This lock is designed for aluminium sliding doors and requires the correct mortice lock backset, door preparation and striker adjustment. The kit includes an adjustable striker plate. To lock the door, lift the handle to engage the hook bolts; to unlock, use the smart access method or key override, then pull the handle down to release the lock.

Warranty is subject to correct installation, suitable residential use, weather protection, and Sylvan’s warranty conditions. The warranty excludes improper installation, misuse, commercial use, excessive exposure to the elements, coastal/geothermal exposure, harsh cleaning products, removal or installation costs, freight and travel costs.
