This product includes selected unglazed Parkwood solid timber exterior door designs, supplied in Paint Quality Emberwood and unprimed, ready for proper sealing, priming, and painting after delivery.

Solid timber exterior doors provide a warm and classic entrance look that suits modern, traditional, villa, bungalow, and character-style homes. This no-glass range is ideal for customers who prefer privacy, natural timber character, and a substantial front door feel without glass panels.

Please note that Parkwood solid timber exterior doors are designed for weather-protected exterior situations. They are not suitable for fully exposed locations without sufficient cover. Parkwood requires a minimum porch roof or protection of 1200mm, protection from direct sunlight, driving rain, and other extreme conditions, and all 6 faces must be pre-finished with a film-forming product.

Custom Size & Optional Services

Custom size: Please place an order for the closest standard size, then leave a note at checkout with your required custom measurements. We will send you a separate invoice for any price difference.

Finish: This door is supplied unprimed as standard. Parkwood does not provide painting service for this timber exterior door. The door must be properly sealed, primed, and painted by the customer or their painter after delivery.

Lock machining: We can pre-machine the door for your lockset before delivery. Please leave a note at checkout with your lock model or required drilling specifications. If you are unsure, you can send us the lock details and we will confirm the machining requirements before production.

Cat door preparation: For Parkwood exterior timber doors, we can also pre-cut the cat door position on request, where suitable for the selected design. Please leave a note at checkout with your cat door measurements, model, or required cut-out details so we can confirm before production.

Important Finish Note

This door is supplied unprimed in Paint Quality Emberwood. It must be finished correctly before installation and exposure to weather.

For Parkwood solid timber exterior doors, all 6 faces of the door must be sealed, including the front, back, left edge, right edge, top edge, and bottom edge. Parkwood requires timber doors to be sealed within 5 days of receiving the door, with the full coating system applied within 28 days of sealing. Oils and penetrating stains are not considered sealants.

Because this is Paint Quality Emberwood, it is intended to be painted rather than stained. Use a high-quality exterior paint system and follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions. Dark colours should be avoided. Parkwood states that timber exterior doors should not be finished in dark colours and the colour must have an LRV higher than 40%, otherwise the warranty may be void.

Warranty Information

Parkwood timber doors come with a 5-year warranty, subject to Parkwood’s warranty terms and correct storage, installation, weather protection, finishing, and maintenance requirements. Parkwood’s warranty covers defects in workmanship and may provide repair or replacement at Parkwood’s discretion.

For external timber doors, the warranty requires sufficient cover, including a minimum 1200mm porch roof or protection, protection from direct sunlight, driving rain, and other extreme weather conditions, all 6 faces to be pre-finished with a film-forming product, and a well-maintained coating.

The warranty may be void if the door is finished with wood oil or penetrating stain, does not have sufficient cover, is exposed to long periods of direct sunlight, is exposed to driving rain, or is finished in a dark colour with an LRV of 40% or lower. Natural timber colour and grain variations are not defects, and warp is not considered a defect unless it exceeds 6mm in the door itself.
